Cities in the Age of AI: Digital Twins, or Digital Fiends?
Promotion of Swiss Events Partners
Several partners and Swissnex in San Francisco are partnering to explore the digital and AI revolution shaping our cities. Uniting our Swiss perspective with Bay Area insights, the event on 26 October 2023 provides a platform to discuss and rethink how we leverage the immense potential of digital innovation and AI in an ethical way.
On the one hand, data is a valuable resource that can be used to optimize processes, reduce waste, and minimize the environmental impact of activities. On the other hand, data privacy is a fundamental human right that must be respected and protected. The collection, use, and sharing of personal data must be done in a responsible and ethical way, and with the explicit consent of the data subject. Weighing these two aspects is a crucial consideration for the cities of the future.
The event will bring together speakers and panelists with insights from Switzerland as well as the Bay Area, exchanging ideas in a panel discussion after short keynote presentations. There will also be the chance to exchange questions and ideas directly with the panelists in a Q&A session and the following networking event.
We’re looking forward to exchanging ideas and approaches on the ethical use of digital technologies and AI for future cities in Zurich.
The anniversary programming is further supported by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, University of Zurich, National Centre of Competence in Research Digital Fabrication, BusinessIn, Cluster food & nutrition, École cantonale d’art de Lausanne, EMPA, Future Cities Labartory Global at ETH Zurich, Future City Alliance, Innovation Booster Swiss Food Ecosystems next generation, Swiss Smart Cities, Swiss Food Research, Zurich Knowledge Center for Sustainable Development, ZHDK, and Swiss Food and Nutrition Valley.
